The breath is not something we have to find. It is already happening — quietly, faithfully, beneath every thought.
In our weekly practice we are not learning a new skill. We are remembering something that has always been true. When the mind wanders, we return. When the body tenses, we return. When the day pulls us in seven directions, we return.
One breath at a time
This is the whole practice. Not in a dramatic way. Not as a performance. Just one breath, taken with attention, and then another.
Given the opportunity, the body knows how to correct itself.
If you are new to the mat, start here. Sit. Notice the inhale. Notice the exhale. That is enough for today.
